About Essencial
Candy Jannetta-Porter worked in Marketing and Media for 13 years in positions as Marketing Manager and Account Director at Warner Music, CNN and at Redwood Publishing where she directed accounts for, amongst others, BT, Dulux, Eurostar and Action Man. She loved running teams to produce outstanding work for her clients and enjoyed the challenges of managing senior client relationships.
During her varied experience she noticed that despite working in rewarding environments many of her colleagues were stressed and demotivated and not performing at their best. Employees were feeling unhappy for the same reasons: poor leadership and communication within the workplace and individual contribution not being recognised and valued. This led Candy to build a career around making organisations a better place to work through improved leadership, and communication.
After a positive business coaching experience which helped her manage a difficult client relationship, Candy embarked on her own coaching training and graduated from the UK College of Life Coaching in 2002. Candy founded Essencial Training and Coaching in 2004 and has worked with: Sainsburys, The Scottish NHS, AMV BBDO, Eversheds, Cap Gemini, National Grid, London Underground, Bombardier, Voca, North West Gas Alliance, KPMG, The Learning Skills Council, Portsmouth City Council, HM Revenue and Customs, Cancer Research Institute, The Faculty of Advocates, British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL), Association of UK Media Librarians (AUKML), Colleges of Further and Higher Education (COFHE), British Business Schools Librarian's Group (BBSLG) and City Information Group (CIG)
She is an associate trainer for the Chartered Institute of Librarians and Information Professionals, (CILIP) and TFPL and regularly lectures for the Association of Chartered, Certified Accountants, (ACCA) and the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
Candy graduated in English and French from the University of Swansea and holds a post-graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and worked and qualified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, (TEFL).
